Texas School Ends 'Chivalry Day' Where Girls Must 'Be Pleasant' for Boys

WHAT A WAY to celebrate International Women's Day, during Women's History Month at that.

One class, at a school in Texas, asked girls to walk 'daintily' and obey men for a 'mideival-era' assignment. I'm sure we're all familiar with Game of Thrones' bad-ass depiction of Daenerys and all, but Shallowater High School in northwest Texas, a little north of Lubbock, wanted to display the full on misogyny of it all.

It was a tradition that went on for years at the school, one day the senior boys dressed in suits and girls would dress in skirts and heels.

This year, the assignment did not go through, after at least one parent disagreed to this method of teaching the teens how women were treated as 'inferior' throughout history.

The assignment is labeled as just that, a one day experiment, where women were 'pleasant' to men and at no point showed any signs of 'intellectual superiority.'

Would you find this lesson offensive for your child or not?
