Some of Destiny's Child outfits will be auctioned for charity

Some of the most iconic stage costumes worn by the Houston-birthed pop and R&B group will be going up for auction in June.

The costumes in question were once worn by Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, the now-defunct group's final members. According to a report from Reuters, the costumes will be auctioned off through Julien's Auctions.

The auction company will be "selling more than 100 lots of costumes" that were worn in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Among the items up for auction are the gold leather fits worn by Destiny's Child during the 2000 VH1 television tribute to Diana Ross, as well as the metallic red and silver jumpsuits worn by the group during their "Independent Women Part 1" music video.

Some of the group's wardrobe was donated by members of the performers' families. The proceeds from the auction will go to MusiCares. (The Houston Chronicle)
