So many reasons to shop local and I love what this local shop is doing in honor of Black History Month. Dessert Gallery Bakery and Café is honoring Black Houstonians who have made an impact on the city and world with cookies.
Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee, Deborah Duncan Simone Biles, Rev. Bill Lawson have their own cookies and the shop also has a variety of cookies with printed Black History Month phrases.
So pull up and buy cookies, ten percent of the proceeds from the cookies will be donated to the Ensemble Theatre. The shop is located in upper Kirby.
Oh and let's not forget they have sweets for your Valentine!
