Woman Sues Velveeta for Claiming Bowls Take More than 3 1/2 Minutes to Cook
Talk about feeling jipped! A Florida woman is suing the cheese company, 'Velveeta' for claiming her microwaveable bowls of shells and cheese took longer than the directed three and a half minutes instructed on the box.
The lawsuit has the parent company, Kraft Heinz as the defendant, but Amanda Ramirez of Florida is claiming in a 15-page class action lawsuit that her "instant bowl" of shells and cheese were not fully cooked after waiting the 3 1/2 minutes as instructed on the box.
The lawsuit reads, "As a result of the false and misleading representations, the Product is sold at a premium price, approximately no less than $10.99 for eight 2.39 oz cups, excluding tax and sales, higher than similar products, represented in a non-misleading way, and higher than it would be sold for absent the misleading representations and omissions."
Does she have a case? Do you think?
