International Worship Summit 2017

Gospel Heritage Foundation Creator, Dr. Teresa Hairston to be honored in Houston at International Worship Summit 2017, Celebrating with Top Gospel Stars

America’s 1 worship conference is returning to Houston for its second year, February 23 – 25, 2017. Houston just hosted the NFL’s biggest football game, Super Bowl 51. The International Worship Summit is being touted as a veritable “Super Bowl of Worship”, the largest of its kind.

IWS will feature major gospel speakers and musical guests, including Houston’s own Ralph West (Church Without Walls), Bishop James Dixon (The Community of Faith), along with national guests, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Doug Williams (of the Williams Brothers), Pastor Sheryl Brady and more.

This year IWS will honor Dr. Teresa Hairston for 30 years of service to the International Christian community. “This year is a milestone for me. 30 Years of Kingdom service and 60 years of life,” said Dr. Hairston, Gospel Heritage Foundation creator which produces IWS.

Over its 23-year history, the Gospel Heritage Foundation has become an important educational organization, fostering the preservation of gospel heritage and the perpetuation of gospel legacy.

The three-day event will consist of day sessions which includes classes and seminars. Leaders, pastors, worship leaders, choir directors, ministers of music, praise dancers, as well as the general public are strongly encouraged to attend. This conference is designed to equip, refresh and give leaders tools to do worship more effectively. Ultimately, worship is a lifestyle. Registration is required for day sessions. The night service on Thursday, February 23, is FREE and open to the public.

A 30/60 Banquet Celebration will take place on Friday February 24, featuring a formal banquet at the Houston Hobby Marriot Hotel with banquet hosts, Bishop Paul S. Morton and Pastor Debra Morton, along with musical guest, the legendary Clark Sisters and Earnest Pugh. “Some people come into your life for a season and few for a lifetime; On February 24, in Houston, Texas, many of my lifetime friends will be there to cheer and celebrate with me…It’s a dream come true!” explains Hairston.

Immediately following the banquet, a special Black History Month Concert Gala will convene at Greater Grace Outreach Church which will feature Da'dra Crawford (Lakewood Church worship leader), Kathy Taylor (Minister of Music, Windsor Village United Methodist Church), and national recording artists, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Wess Morgan, Donald Lawrence and Pastor Donnie McClurkin. The conference concludes on Saturday at 12 noon.
