Beyonce & Gucci Partner Up To Bring Clean Water To Africa

Beyoncé just wants everyone to #BeyGood. High fashion label Gucci got the memo and has donated $1 million to one of the star's charitable efforts.

Last year, Bey launched the BeyGood4Burundi initiative; which aims to bring clean, safe water to remote areas in Burundi, Africa. This country is in much need of such a cause, as nearly half of its population doesn't have access to sanitary water. That's where Beyoncé, UNICEF and Gucci come in. The label made its major donation through its global Chime For Change campaign, which its website describes as "a global campaign founded by Gucci in 2013 to convene, unite and strengthen the voices speaking out for girls and women around the world."

Thirty five wells in Burundi have already been built. But, the added money from Gucci will supply the country with 80 more. This will bring the BeyGood4Burundi initiative's goal of reaching 366,000 women and children by 2020 a major step closer -- in fact, a million steps closer.
