The country has been on edge in recent unfortunate events. George Floyd was killed by police officers while under arrest and that caused the entire world to responded in solidarity against racism. Countless protests have sparked all over the world in support for the #BlackLivesMatter movement. With peaceful protests also come violent ones as hundreds of stores and businesses have been looted and some even burned to the ground. A majority of celebrities and public officials have spoke out over the issue via social media. Now Floyd's family has spoken out over the aftermath of the tragedy.
ABC-13 posted a video with Floyd's brother speaking out over the violent protests. He told news outlets that his brother was a peaceful person and a "gentle giant". He also stated that George was about love and positivity. He challenged angry protesters to challenge their anger elsewhere. Check out the clip below:
