Travis Scott Drops Teaser Video For New Song 'Franchise' Feat. Young Thug

Travis Scott and Young Thug are releasing their new collab this week.

Last night, Scott gave fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the two rappers making magic in the studio on a song titled “Franchise.” The 29-year-old took to Twitter with a 48-second clip of him sitting at his computer while playing the record, set to release Friday (September 25).

Telling by Scott’s verses on the track (“Yup, in my white tee, yeah/ Call up Hype Williams for the hype, please"), “Franchise” will pay homage to Dem Franchize Boyz, the Atlanta-based hip hop group responsible for starting dance crazes in the mid-‘00s with songs like “White Tee” and “Oh I Think They Like Me.”

In the clip, Thugger and the Astroworld artist can be seen laying down rhymes in the lab to an uptempo beat, surrounded by their entourage. What’s more, it’s also been speculated that British rapper M.I.A. will appear on the track, after she recently revealed she’d acquired her visa to the United States. (These are only rumors, of course, but imagine how dope this trio would be?!)

Nevertheless, fans are anxious to hear Scott and Thug back on the beat again. “Travis Scott and Young Thug anytime they collab,” one fan tweeted, likening the duo’s chemistry to that of Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan. (Agreed.)

Thugger and Scott have an extensive history recording together, having previously linked up on joints like “Skyfall,” “Mamacita,” “OUT WEST,” “Nothing But Net,” “Maria I’m Drunk,” and myriad other releases.
