Latto kicks off 2025 by finally releasing the music video for her hard-hitting banger alongside Playboi Carti.
The Atlanta natives join forces for their first-ever collaboration "Blick Sum." The song, which arrived on Tuesday, January 28, is track No. 3 on her recent album Sugar Honey Iced Tea. Carti was meant to be on the record, however, he declined to clear his verse after their song leaked two days before the album dropped. Fans waited for five months before Latto shared a teaser for the music video on Monday, which revealed the Opium founder's long-awaited verse.
In the official music video, Latto posts up with Playboi Carti in front of a white Rolls Royce SUV as they turn up and spit their verses. In another scene, Big Latto stands in front of a merry-go-round while wearing a mink coat over a black bikini full. She performs the song while various pole dancers pull splits and other incredible moves on the carnival ride.
People celebrated Latto and Playboi Carti's collaboration, but they also raised questions about the album Carti has been teasing for years. Opium fans have been waiting for the Whole Lotta Red rapper to drop his highly-anticipated album I AM MUSIC. After sharing a slew of solo tracks and collaborations last year, Carti alluded to dropping the album before the end of 2024. Although he debuted a couple of tracks from the album during his headlining set at Rolling Loud Miami last month, Carti has yet to drop the album.
"He's dropping music with everyone but himself," one fan wrote online.
