JID is back with the first single from his long-awaited album.
On Friday, April 18, the Dreamville signee released his new song "WRK" produced by Christo and Pluss. The high-octane track will have fans on their feet and raging to the beat as JID raps about the hard work he puts in daily. JID first debuted "WRK" at his pop-up booth at Dreamville Fest earlier this month. Now it's the lead single for his upcoming album God Does Like Ugly.
"Here's a lil' reminder that I'm still choppin'," JID raps. "Wood, still grindin', still rhymin'/Poppin' in, I be on kill timin'/In the rough, I'm like a real diamond."
"WRK" is JID's first solo track since he released his third album The Forever Story in 2022. Since then, he's collaborated with numerous artists including French Montana, Eminem, Ab-Soul and more. The last time he dropped a fresh project was in 2023 when he released his EP featuring "Half Doin Dope" & "Van Gogh" with BabyTron and Lil Yachty. God Does Like Ugly is set to drop this year but a release date hasn't been confirmed.
