A woman who worked as one of Sean "Diddy" Combs' assistants accused the mogul of sexually assaulting her multiple times.
On Thursday, May 29, the alleged victim, who went by her pseudonym "Mia," took the witness stand and testified about her time working for Combs. She told the court she worked as his personal assistant and was eventually promoted to director of development and acquisition for the mogul's media company, Revolt Films. In addition to witnessing her boss physically attack his ex-girlfriend Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura, Mia alleged Combs sexually abused her on several occasions throughout the course of her employment.
Mia told the jury about the first time Combs allegedly sexually assaulted her shortly after she started working for him in 2009. She attended the festivities for Combs' 40th birthday party at a penthouse suite inside The Plaza Hotel in New York City. Mia claimed Combs asked to speak to her in the kitchen alone and asked several unidentified celebrities to clear the room. He poured out some shots of vodka after telling her they would be working closely together. The alleged victim claimed she got dizzy after she took her shot.
Mia claimed Combs began to touch and kiss her without her consent. She told the court she was frozen with shock and couldn't say "No" to Combs. She said she regained consciousness while sitting in a chair in another room the next morning. Mia didn't believe Combs would do that to her again, however, she alleged the sexual abuse happened several times afterward. She told the jury about separate instances at two of his homes in Los Angeles. She also claimed Combs sexually assaulted her on a private jet.
Combs had Mia on his payroll from 2009 to 2017. During that time, Mia said she was forced to work long hours and was subjected to verbal and physical abuse at the hands of Combs. She claimed he threw things at her, humiliated her in front of others, and slammed her arms into a door. She also had to clean up after his freak offs, and help Cassie after Combs allegedly beat her. She even described an incident where she thought Combs would "kill" Cassie at the singer's home in Los Angeles.
"I thought he was going to kill her," she said. "She started gushing blood and ended up with a pretty big scar on her forehead."
Mia and Cassie have both testified about the physical, sexual and mental abuse they allegedly suffered during their time with Combs. They were both named in the indictment when he was arrested in September 2024. Combs is facing five counts of racketeering, transportation to engage in prostitution and sex trafficking. If convicted, he could face life in prison.
