Metro Boomin dropped an interesting teaser to announce his upcoming mixtape.

To celebrate Independence Day on Friday, July 4, the Grammy award-winning producer posted a clip of himself holding a firework as it shoots into the air. He ignites the explosive while inside a truck that's covered in American flags while holding John Cena's U.S. Championship Title belt. In the video, Metro also teases an unreleased song with Atlanta veteran Roscoe Dash. The track gives off plenty of nostalgic vibes and could easily become one of the top tracks of the summer. In his caption, Metro warns the mixtape will arrive this month.

"MIXTAPE OTW 🫨 7/??/25 🧨🧨🧨" Metro wrote.

Young Metro dropped the teaser just days after he posted several photos from the studio with American flags. One of the photos features Cena's championship belt and his blue Magic City jacket in plain sight.

It's been over a year since Metro Boomin teamed up with Future and caused mayhem with their joint albums WE DON'T TRUST YOU and WE STILL DON'T TRUST YOU. The first LP holds their destructive collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, "Like That," which sent the Compton rapper's beef with Drake into overdrive. Both albums were nominated for multiple categories at the 67th annual Grammy Awards, including Best Rap Album and Best Melodic Rap Performance, while "Like That" was nominated for Best Rap Song.

Since then, Metro has been working diligently on other projects like his joint album with JID. The duo confirmed their plans to work on a collaborative effort together in 2023. There haven't been many updates on the album since then. Both artists are actively focused on other projects. JID just dropped GDLU (Preluxe) while Metro has been in the studio with Young Thug, Lil Baby and Future.

Look out for Metro Boomin's mixtape dropping this month.
