G Herbo appears to be all in on President Donald Trump's plan to send in the troops to clean up the streets of Chicago.

During a conversation TMZ published on Wednesday, September 10, the Chicago native was asked how he feels about the president's plan to send in the National Guard. Herbo said the president can do whatever he wants just as long as he keeps everyone safe.

“Just keep ’em safe, man,” he replied. “Whatever you do need to do to keep the kids safe and the women... Whatever gon' keep us safe and clean the streets, I’m all for it. Just make sure the babies get home. That’s all I care about.”

Chicago's issues with gun violence are well known around the country. So much so that President Trump has threatened to send in the military to help crack down on the rampant crime in the city. The city's mayor, Brandon Johnson, and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker have both condemned Trump's plan.

Word traveled fast about G Herbo's thoughts on the subject, which prompted him to clarify what he meant. During his recent appearance on Way Up With Angela Yee, the "Went Legit" rapper emphasized that he's no Trump supporter and not really political to begin with. Yet, Herbo maintained that he was only thinking about the women and children when he responded to the controversial question.

"I wouldn't say that I'm in agreement," Herbo explained. "I think they took that as me trying to make a political statement. I'm not political. All I said was I'm just all for keeping the kids and the women safe."
