50 Cent is down to join forces with Taylor Swift in the studio shortly after the pop star showed him some love on her new album.
On Wednesday, October 22, the multihyphenated artist and filmmaker sat down with ExtraTV to talk about his new appreciation for T. Swift. During the conversation, Fif reflected on how he felt after Swift mentioned him on her latest project, The Life Of A Showgirl, and revealed that he would team up with her on a new song.
“You got to ask her because you know how big Taylor Swift is right now?" he said. "She has to have a record that sounds like it might sound good with 50,”
"It really is cool because when she makes the reference, it’s to what was going on in culture at that time," he continued. "The music, you couldn’t miss it. What she was making reference to is the period that no one was more prominent in music at that point.”
The song he's referring to is Taylor Swift's “Ruin the Friendship." On track No. 6 from her 12th studio album, Taylor croons, “And it was not an invitation/But as the 50 Cеnt song played/Should’ve kissed you anyway.” Her mention instantly turned 50 Cent into a fan. So much so that he'd even go to Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, if he ever received an invite.
“I would make my way over there,” 50 said about the anticipated wedding. “I like her boyfriend, too. I like the team, I like KC. I like it a lot better than the last thing [Kelcie] had going on. It’s a lot better.”
