I Went To ComplexCON | Day 1 | @ashleeonair

It's my FIRST YEAR at ComplexCon in Long Beach, Calif. and already sucked the life out of me, my first day. Mistake number 1, not bringing a backpack -- but don't worry, there were plenty of free totes being handed out, so you can carry all the ridiculously overpriced merchandise available to buy.

Being press, we were able to get in the spot one hour early, along with VIP, which gave us exclusive and early access to the vendors. My behind was wandering around just getting pictures and boomerang's when I should've been shopping! AS SOON AS THEY OPENED THE DOOR for the General Admission - all hell broke loose.

The first big drop was Allen Iverson's first shoe drop in over four years at the Reebok activation. Though I do love kicks, I wasn't hard pressed to run and get any, especially fighting like, thousands of people.

Michael B. Jordan made an appearance at the Creed II activation, which was actually super dope. It was laid out like the grimy boxing gyms in Philly he trains in.

Pharrell Williams popped up at the Billionaire Boys Club activation, obviously, and caused more mass hysteria with unsuspecting fans.

Also sidenote: While I was walking, Pusha T's security shoved me to make room for him to walk by.. sure bro, whatever it takes to remain relevant. #AubreyHive.

One thing I will say was dope, is Complex involved all of their own shows or brands into the experience. So 'HOT ONES' was an actual food vendor in the 'FIRST WE FEAST' lagoon, along with the classic, Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles.

Obviously, their shows were among the many conversations and panels available to watch, such as "Open Late," and "Everyday Struggle."

The activations were hands down, the dopest part of the entire experience. Regardless of getting the gear you may have wanted or not, just seeing the creativity of how brands reinvent themselves and market to a different core audience was really inspiring.

And as always, we gotta keep it music: I met up with some of my homies, newer artists on the rise while out in Long Beach.

Such as my homie, 24kgoldn.

24kgoldn

Basically, anybody who's anybody in the name of the culture was there. Every YouTuber I could even fathom I saw walking around at some point. Such as adam22 from 'No Jumper' and Lena the Plug. They made it very known they were in the building.

Until tomorrow, day 2 and daylight savings time. I'm out!
