I use rideshare apps frequently, since I travel often. And no city is more expensive, than NYC, hands down - ESPECIALLY if you're flying out of Newark (EWR) and have to cross those tolls - OMG, I paid almost $100 once for a 20-minute ride. Anyways, I'm sure we're all familiar with 'surge pricing,' when we leave a concert or an event, and there's LOTS of traffic in one area, that's when the drivers can charge more for their services.
Well now, the 'surge club' has been outed - this is how Uber drivers can manipulate the app and charge you MORE for their service.
After hearing about this, I wanted to check on YouTube to see if some actual drivers had commentary on the topic.
