Houston: HISD Cancels Food Distribution Among COVID-19 Concerns

HISD announced Wednesday they are canceling food distribution now that they've been doing - as precautions to prevent the spread COVID-19 ramp up.

An individual was present at a food distribution site - is now under self quarantine, and as a preventative measure, they are closing all food distribution sites in partnership with the Houston Food Bank.

So, Now Where Do I Go?

The City of Houston is offering a meal program at 50 community centers around the area.

Free meals are distributed weekdays, 1pm-3pm, for children under 18 years and only available if the child shows up in person.
