The police-involved killing of George Floyd has sparked outrage, not only in our own country, but across the world. As we head into almost two weeks of continuous marches, led walks and protests in all of our 50 states; celebrities have also been popping up to show their solidarity.
For awhile on Twitter, people were questioning where Kendrick Lamar was, as they deemed him to be 'radio silent,' but in disguise and seen next to Demar Derozan, the rapper was in the streets of LA with the rest of us. Russell Westbrook, of the Houston Rockets, was also seen marching.
Other LA Natives, Jhene Aiko and YG were on the streets. YG debuted a new protest song "F* the Police," to a crowd of supporting marchers.
Kanye West joined protestors in his hometown of Chicago.
Lil' Baby took the streets in his hometown of Atlanta, GA to show support for Black Lives Matter.
J. Cole was in his hometown of Fayetteville, NC talking with protest organizers and marching for #GeorgeFloyd.
DC Young Fly joined Bun B. and Trae tha Truth in Houston, TX for their march with George Floyd's family, Tamika D. Mallory and Joel Osteen last Tuesday to Houston City Hall.
So far, all 50 states have had at least one demonstration after the video recorded death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis Police. All four officers involved have been charged - but we are waiting for their convictions, as well as the charges for the cops that shot and killed #BreonnaTaylor.
