After the tumultuous year that was 2020, the world will be watching for the transition of power on January 20th, 2021 at the Capitol. Unfortunately, due to the riots at the Capitol on January 6th, there is heightened 24/7 security at the grounds. About a dozen national guard members have even been dismissed because of relations to capitol rioters.
All fifty state capitols are also on high alert, expecting violence today. In Georgia and Texas, the National Guard has been deployed as security around the state capitols to prevent violence.
