2020 was a rough year for everyone, and probably one of the biggest themes of the year were the protests in reaction to social injustice. The killing of George Floyd in May 2020 was probably one of the lowest moments of the year, which erupted in protests worldwide, even in a global pandemic.
Stephen Jackson, former NBA player and close friend of Floyd recently informed the public that NBA Player Kyrie Irving purchased a house for Floyd's surviving family.
Jackson has been very vocal about mobilizing the black community to vote and demand change in their communities and the election of local representatives - which may have pushed the voting outcome for the Presidential election this year.
Professionally Irving just returned to playing with the Brooklyn Nets - with new addition, James Harden. Just after being fined $50,000 by the league for not adhering to COVID-19 protocols. The first two games with the two have apparently gone extremely well.
Am I the only one that misses the bubble?
