It's hard to be a contender for 'Best Joker' depiction amongst the performances done by the late and great Heath Ledger as well as the newest rendition performed by Joaquin Phoenix. Although, I had no problem with Jared Leto's rendition of the Joker in 'Suicide Squad,' the common opinion is that the 'thugged out' Joker couldn't hold a flame to the aforementioned performances.
Now, fans (and I) are just in a state of confusion and curiosity when the most recent photo of Jared Leto's Joker returning for the newest Justice League movie hit Twitter, with a crown of thorns on his head, just like.. you guessed it, Jesus.
Fans, as expected, hit the social media site with scathing first impressions of the image - and if this is enough to make a 'recovery,' from his last depiction as The Joker. Is making him be 'Christ-like' going way too far, or the drama necessary to rank his Joker among the greats?
