Roddy Ricch Announces SNL Debut

RODDY RICCH finished 2021 out with a sophomore album, 'Live, Life Fast,' some visuals to pair and now another career first for the Los Angeles born rapper.

Saturday Night Live shared the announcement of Roddy's solo debut on the historic sketch comedy show.

January 15th, as the musical guest, Roddy will take the stage, but what I'm curious to see is if he will make his way into some sketches. It's pretty regular for the music guest to be featured in some sketches, so let's see if Roddy will bring his acting chops out.

Will you be watching on January 15th? Also, how do you feel about the upsurge of Hip Hop acts as musical guests in recent years on SNL?

Roddy BLEW onto the scene in 2019, but when his single "The Box" went to DIAMOND, released in late 2019 - Roddy found himself as a household name.

The "Ballin," singer has been open enough to share his earlier flow - when he would rap for greats like Kendrick Lamar, which offered insight into how he has honed his craft.

Though Roddy blew up on social media in earlier years, he hit commercial mainstream success once the DJ Mustard produced hit, "Ballin" hit the radio waves.

2019 also complemented Roddy's year, when he was chosen as a XXL Freshman, amongst his peers; Megan thee Stallion, DaBaby, Cordae, Blueface, Rico Nasty and more.

What do you think of Roddy's sophomore album, 'Live. Life. Fast'?
