As long as I can remember, the 'Maury' show was a staple in my mom's house. While my grandmother opted for M*A*S*H and The Price is Right, my mom's house was guaranteed to have The Jerry Springer Show, Ricki Lake, Jenny Jones, Maury or Judge Judy on. (Very interesting upbringing.)
And though the Maury show has become way more satire than earlier years (even featuring bogus storylines with influencers and celebrities like Lil Nas X, Tana Mongeau and more) it looks like the generation of tablet kids - is not so amused with the dramatic paternity test readings that preceded their times.
