Free Press Summer Festival had artists from Lil Uzi Vert,Trill Sammy, Post Malone, and even 93.7 The Beat's very own DJ Mr. Rogers were in the building for the 2-day musical frenzy. On a sour note, the rain causes the festival to stop Sunday around 6:20 pm. Attendees were furious and wanted their full refunds. If people wanted to see Solange the rain ruined that.
According to the Houston Chronicle: "A 50-percent refund of the base ticket price will be given for two-day passes purchased with a credit card within the next 7-10 business days. Those who paid cash at the box office should contact Front Gate Tickets at support.frontgatetickets.com within the next 30 days. Those who purchased tickets just for Sunday will receive a full refund."
Here are tweets and clips of what people were saying about the festival what could've happened if the rain didn't stop the show below.
Look, all I'm saying is #FPSF wouldn't have gotten rained out in the Astrodome.— Tyler Sumrall (@tyler_sumrall) June 5, 2017
so sad the weather gods chose a storm and @fpsf had to cancel the fest. was super excited to bring out "ocean of soul" and some other super wondrous horn players... but I thank them for being alllll the way readyyyyy and giving so much heart today in rehearsal. we gotta make it happen elsewhere soon 🌊
