Almost 30 years ago and almost $300 Million dollars made after Coming to America was released in 1988, Eddie Murphy wants to release a sequel. We all have the characters played by James Earl Jones, Arsenio Hall, John Amos and more who we feel in love with.
Not only will Eddie Murphy come back but also the movie will have 'Black-ish' creator Kenya Barris to help them form a script.
"Levine will direct from a script that Barris will rewrite from a screenplay by original writers Barry Blaustein and David Sheffield. Kevin Fisher is producing.
Murphy is involved with the development of the sequel, although there's no deal in place yet for him to star. Misher is the producer. Harris co-wrote the comedy's "Girl Trip" with Tracy Oliver and worked on New Line's "Son of Shaft."
LEt's reminisce on the trailer of the first movie to get a gist of what could happen.
