'What's Poppin'? Definitely This Back-to-School Remix From Georgia Teachers

Back-to-school season is even more anxiety-filled than ever this year, as students, teachers and parents fretting over how to safely return to classrooms in the midst of the still-raging COVID-19 pandemic. But a pair of high school teachers are here to make things a little better thanks to their hype remix of Jack Harlow's "What's Poppin'," featuring lyrics to help ease your transition from the couch to the socially distanced classroom (or, in many cases, back to the couch for distanced home schooling).

"You got options, but you better pass my class no floppin'/Gone log in, every day, every morning, I'm watchin'/Yeah we virtual, and you know what's up, so we 'bout to take it up a notch," Callie Evans raps in the remix of the song she did with fellow instructor and cheerleading coach Audri Williams for the students of Monroe Comprehensive High School.

"We are in for a wild ride this school year, but let’s make the best of it!" Williams wrote in the caption to the clip, in which the pair dance down the hallways of their school surrounded by masked-up Golden Tornado cheerleaders. "What better way to release all of the anxiety, doubts & fears of the school year than to dance & turn up What’s poppin’?! 20-21 School Year, Let’s get it!"

"What's poppin'?/ Brand new year and I'm locked in/ As far as this teachin' go, I am unreachable/ I am No. 1 in your top 10," Williams raps like a seasoned pro in her version of the clip. "No COVID-19, ain't worried 'bout a thing when it comes to me ain't no stoppin'," she continues about how she's not worried about going virtual for her lessons in the higher education take on the "Poppin'" remix challenge.
