Lenny Kravitz may be worth tens of millions of dollars, but his entire skincare routine will set you back less than $20.
âItâs always been very simple,â the 56-year-old âFly Awayâ hitmaker, whoâs spent much of this year at his home on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas, told Vanity Fair of his everyday grooming routine.
âI only use a few things. I wash my face with water, truthfully. When Iâm here, I scrub it with the sand from the ocean because itâs very fine and powdery.â
While most of us donât have daily access to Bahamian sand, the rest of Kravitzâs go-to products can be picked up at pretty much any health food store.
âI use coconut oil on my body, shea butter, cocoa butter, all organic,â the seemingly ageless rocker continued. âI use Dr. Bronnerâs almond soap ($13.99). I wash my body with it, I wash my hair with it, and I wash my clothes with it. Itâs a really simple island routine, but I carry that wherever I go. And of course, whatever fragrance or oils, but itâs really that simple.
Kravitz is the new face of YSL Beautyâs fragrance Y â following in the footsteps of his 31-year-old daughter ZoĂ«, a longtime collaborator with the luxury brand.
âThereâs nobody who has more style than ZoĂ« â sheâs so effortless and natural, and just exudes style and coolness without putting on any airs. Itâs just who she is. Sheâs got much more swag than I do,â he gushed, adding that the two even occasionally borrow items from each otherâs wardrobes.
âThereâs things that we both like. I try to steal some of her T-shirts sometimes, and she steals mine. And jewelry, different things. Obviously I canât wear her clothes because sheâs quite petite, but throughout the years things have been stolen out of each otherâs closets, for sure.â
