DJ Mr. Rogers is a Houston mixmaster and radio personality who’s produced hits for Texas rap legends like Trae tha Truth and the Boss Hogg Outlawz. Wearing a DJ Screw jersey, Rogers pulled up to H-Town’s Cactus Music to accept the Rhythm Roulette challenge. “Might be a hidden gem,” said DJ Mr. Rogers as he flipped through randomly selected records by Stan Getz, Diana Ross, and Sarah Vaughn. After that it was straight back to the lab where DJ Mr. Rogers chopped up some smooth saxophone sounds, pitching it to perfection and adding wavy effects to brew up some Texas funk.
