19-Year-Old Girl Is Found Dead In Hotel Freezer and Family Wants Answers

When you hear this mom cry your heart will break. Kenneka Jenkins, 19, was found dead in a hotel freezer after going missing during a party. According to BET.COM, Officials found Kenneka Jenkins inside a walk-in freezer at a Rosemont hotel Sunday morning, a day after her friends and family reported her missing from a party at the hotel. After the 3 minute mark it sounds like Jenkins is saying help me but the music is turned back up to continue partying. 

Police told Jenkin's mother, Tereasa Martin,that Kenneka walked to the freezer, went inside while she was drunk and died while she was inside. The cause of death is still being determined. Kenya's parents suspect foul play. 

Martin and police stated that she left her house before midnight on Friday night to go to a friend's party at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O'Hara Hotel & Conference Center in Rosemont. 

"Martin told police her daughter's friends called her after 4 a.m. Saturday when they were leaving the hotel and could not find Jenkins. The friends added they were in the vehicle Martin lent her daughter for the evening and they had her daughter’s cellphone."

After filing a missing person's report an 11-hour search of the hotel happened and the police watched the survallience footage.  

The footage shows Jenkins was "staggering" drunk near the front desk, according to Martin. 

Police found her body on Sunday after 1 a.m.

Kanneka's Jenkin's friends told Martin that they were about to leave the party and they realized that Jenkin's left her phone and car keys in the hotel room. Jenkins stayed in the hallway and when they returned to the hallway Jenkins was no where to be found. 

Martin doesn't believe the part of her daughter walking into a freezer on her own because if she was drunk it would have been difficult for her to open the freezer doors. 

"Jenkins would have realized the freezer doors weren't the doors to an elevator or a hotel entrance, Martin said. "Those were double steel doors, she didn't just pop them open," Martin told the Chicago Tribune. "
