Yikes! Google is facing a lawsuit accused of illegally tracking the location of millions of users even when location services are turned OFF!
A complaint was filed late Friday in San Francisco federal court which stated, “Google represented that a user ‘can turn off Location History at any time. With Location History off, the places you go are no longer stored.’ This simply was not true.”
The plaintiff, Napoleon Patacsil of San Diego, is seeking class-action status on behalf of U.S. users of both Android and Apple who turned the tracking feature off.
Sadly, this actually doesn't really surprise me. In this age of digital media and tracking it seems as if nothing goes unseen! How does this make you all feel and do you care that your every move could potentially be tracked?
